We are FIRST® Puncher Robotics Team 3288. We are a small part of a large community of hard-working, imaginative students. Teams all over the world work to complete a robot that will perform a specified task or tasks. We are one such team. We are comprised of builders, engineers, designers, programmers, essay writers, leaders, and teammates.                   

             The goal is to build a robot that is under a certain dimension and weight that can complete different tasks which requires hours of designing. When the design of the robot is decided, we build multiple models to ensure that our design will work. Next, we must build the robot, fixing mistakes in the build as we go. Some might say that is the simple part. We must then make our robot do what we want it to do. Through programming and many trials and error, we are able to create a working robot. Throughout this entire process, we must work as a team. We must also teach and help those who don’t understand, so everyone on the team can contribute.

           During this time, we lose countless hours of sleep, but we gain more than we lose. We learn how to make an idea work, we learn that school really can be applied to things that are actually fun, and will help us prepare for our future.
